3D - 2

I've had two 3D ultra sounds ?

I've had two 3D ultra sounds and both times my baby had her feet and hands in her face. We were not able to see her face at all. What can I do for the next time I go in bc we really want to see her face.

  1. You might just have to wait till she's born to see her face. I don't think there's anything you can do to make her move her hands or feet out of your view.
  2. hup up or cough
  3. Unfortunately at this point she's a free mover. You probably can't control her movements, especially if she's a little older, hopefully she'll be sucking her thumb next time. If you want you could try and walk before your ultrasound.
  4. Maybe she is shy? I don't think you can really do anything to coax your baby to not have her hands or feet covering her face. Maybe she's already starting a strike in there :)
  5. Nothing you can do. Even if you drink orange juice, eat peanut butter or drink ice cold water before your appointment to get her to move, she may still put those hands in her face. You may just have to wait until she is born to see her face. At least then you won't be wasting money on sonograms on hand pictures.
  6. Mine's stubborn like that too! During 2 of my 3 regular ultrasounds, they switched it over to try to get a 3-D picture of his face for us, but he wouldn't move his arm away from his face. They tried poking around my belly a bit to get him to move it, but he wouldn't. There's nothing you can really do - if baby wants to be that way, s/he will be! The best I got was a 2-D profile shot of his face, with his arm up in front... cute, but not as cute as a 3-D one would be!
