  1. No, it won't because it is not medically necessary. You even have to pay for them in Canada!
  2. I dont think so
  3. probably not, because 3d isn't for health purposes, it's for fun and enjoyment. I'm in Canada and I had to pay over 400.
  4. no they are not going to cover it unless it is necessary.
  5. no they wont. medicaid pays for what the pregnant mother NEEDS 3d ultrasounds is not NEEDED. also some medicaid plans only pay for 4 or less ultrasounds. check with you medicaid rep!
  6. no; 3D ultra sounds r more for viewing pleasure and they are strictly not medical ...
  7. Nope only 2d. 3d is not for medical reasons.
  8. Wow! I actually just looked into that last night! Medicaid typically does not cover a 3-D ultrasound unless there is a medical disposition that your doc thinks you should. I just got on Medicaid and i had lots of questions for my social worker. It may vary from state to state, so you may want to call your local Medicaid office if you arent already on it, or call your social worker if you are! I would love to get a 3-d ultrasound! They are SO neat! So i looked up prices, and found they run about 200-300 dollars. I hope this helps! Good luck and congrats!!
  9. Nope, they will not cover it unless it is medically necessary. The 3/D ultrasound is optional unless your OB or midwife needs one done for medical reasons.
  10. I was on medicaid when pregnant with my son and they did cover it because they felt it was medically necessary.. i didnt even know they were doing one when I went to the hospital because I was bleeding..They did the ultrasound and medicaid did cover it..
  11. Very doubtful. They normally won't cover anything that isn't medically necessary.
  12. if your doctor reefers you to a specialist that does 3-D then they will but if you go on your own they don't....or at least that's wat they told me... i got a 3-D but because birth defects run in my family. actually every kind of illness you can think of runs in my family...but yea that's why i got mine done so they could check my baby's heart and everything else to make sure hes ok....
  13. Unless their is a medical need for a 3-d ultrasound, due to you being high risk or if there is any indication that there might be something wrong with the baby, the won't.
  14. No, you will actually have to pay for that, like everyone else.
