How do you find a place where you want to pay for an ultrasound?

I am on Medicaid here in Nebraska and I know that I will only be having one ultra sound during my pregnancy. My mom said she would help us out if we find a place that will do a 3D/4D ultra sound that you pay for and don't need a doctor's consent. I am not asking if you know any places in Nebraska that will do that but I just need some help getting started. How do I look up the places that do this?

3. you can google 3d/4d ultrasounds in Nebraska.i would help you out but i live in alabama so i wouldn't be much help..good luck and congrats. edit:and for the women that said u have to have a doctors order thats false i had one at 16w3d and it had nothing to do with my doctor.my doctor is in opelika and i had my ultrasound done in columbus..so u need nothing from ur doctor.and im having another one the 24th.where i went its $100 and 90 ur second time u go
4. you could ask your doctor if they know anywhere that will do that
5. Go to the Yahoo! homepage and click on Yellow Pages. Type in your zip code and look up Ultrasound/Sonogram places in your area. That is what we did and found out that we had 2 places just near our house. They are easy to miss. Good luck!
6. I would call your hospital. If they don't have one, then they can more than likely tell you who does. Your Dr should know too. But you will have to have an order from your Dr. No place will do them without a Drs order. That is illegal. But if you ask your Dr he will give you one. If he seems reluctant, insist. 3D/4D ultrasounds are between 200-500 dollars. You can check price when you make an appointment. Insurances won't pay bc they aren't a necessity. I personally would rather just use the money from your mom, for something else for the baby. But of course everyone is different so do what your heart desires :) Best Wishes!!
7. Talk with your doctor maybe they know of places. My doctor gave me a flyer for a 4D ultrasound facility. Or maybe you can check out the yellow pages. Good luck =) Type in 4D Ultrasounds in my area put your zip code thats if your using a search tool online.
8. they sometimes have little flyers at your doctors office. My doc office had them. Also - I looked at a lot of my friends' 3d/4d ultrasounds to see where they went. If you have friends nearby they probably know :) Ask them first! And then ask your doc. Or you could google - something like 3d ultrasounds in _____ nebraska.
