when is the earliest and latest you can get the 3D/4D done?

My mom wants me to get a 3D/4D ultrasound done in my second trimester around 20-22 weeks and then again in my third trimester 32-36 weeks....has anyone done that and can you do that do you know?

1. the best time to see baby is between 24 and 32 weeks. i dont see why you cant get it earlier. late than 32 weeks baby might be too big to get a good picture x
2. You can have them done whenever you want because it is elective and you pay for it =] The best time to have one done is in between 22-30 weeks. If you do it too early you won't be able to see much and if you do it too late it will be cramped in there!! I have seen pics from 26 & 28 weeks and they are amazing!! Good luck xx
3. I was told that if you do the 3D ultrasound you should do it earlier than the 32-36 week mark. I think they recommended about 28-30 weeks. The baby will be big by that time and it will be so crowded in the womb, it will be hard to get a good pic.
4. Getting the ultrasound the way you plan will give you different views of you baby. The first will give you more of a full body image. The baby will more skeletal. In the second ultrasound you will be able to see your baby chubby cheeks . Two different looks. Where I getting mine done they have discounts for anyone who want two ultrasounds
