What's the difference between an 4D cinema, an imax cinema and a simulation ride in a theme park?

- the name
- ;4D Cinema' normally means that you wear 3D glasses while watching a short 'movie' (up to twenty minutes) that also puts you 'in' the situation by getting you wet, putting bubbles on you, moving your seat, etc. An IMax Cinema normally just has surround sound an vibrating seats. They occasionally show 3D movies, but they do not attempt to 'put you in' the situation. A Simulation Ride in a Theme Park occasionally has 3D glasses, and there are not normally individual seats. You move around and see other things happening around you. It is as if you are in a movie but as an onlooker. Hope that helps!
- a 4D cinemais where you wear 3D glasses
- a 4D cinema is a 4 dimensional cinema and the objects on screen pop out more than 3D just as long as you are wearing glasses. You also don't have to wear the blue and red glasses, the lenses are clear. an imax cinema is just a really huge screen in a really huge theatre, and a simulation ride is a video where you are moving in sync with the video like the simpsons ride at universal studios or soarin' at california adventure. it's like you're actually there.
