How do I use my downloaded 3d models?

I've downloaded zelda twilight princess models. I have a .3ds file and the rest are photoshop files. How do I use it on my PS CS3 extended to be completely 3d rendered and able to be manipulated, animated ect.?

1. Use Blender. Its free GPL software for 3D Animation and 3D Modeling. Blender has the capability of importing 3ds file.
