Are there any sites that I can go to to make my own 3D models?

I don't have any program that I can use for that. Basically what i need is a 3D art thingy. or any programs I can buy that will let me do 3D modeling. Btw, this is for video games.

1. A '3D art thingy' ...? When I used to build things for Sims 2, I used a program called Blender 3D. I only built static things (tables, chairs, radio) but you could probably build People too. Other programs to look at are Milkshape or Maya, but I think these cost money. And I am positive that you can build people with Maya.

3. Blender is pretty good and free. If you want to pay out the ass, the pros use stuff like Maya, 3D studio, and Softimage. Blender can perform a lot of functions of these though, so check it out.
