Creating a 3d logo for videos

Does anyone know a good free program to create 3d video logo's like what you would see on television ,example: "television logo" i would like to make my own persona logo to appear in the corner my videos as im unable to run adobe photoshop

As for 3D animation try out Blender: http://www.blender.org/ Blender is a little hard to get used to but it can rival that of 3D Studio Max and other Commercial Software.
