When is a good time to get a 3d-4d ultrasound?

I was planning on going to this place that does them along with a pregnancy spa. I am 29 weeks. When is a good time to go get it done do you think?

  2. I would get it done as soon as! They will be here soon! The place that I am getting mine advised to get them from 27 weeks for the best picture. (I got my sons at 24 weeks and it was perfect!)
  3. I have Placenta Previa and Placenta Abruption so I have gotten 3d/4d scans since 15w2d and I am now halfway through my 24th week and my latest ones sucked compared to the earlier ones! It was my first time at the high risk hospital I'm going to so I don't know if it was due to that or what, but I guess I shouldn't be disappointed as most people don't get so many ultrasounds as I do. Anyways-you are past the timing that I loved mine. We will see in the future for me if they get back to being good! A pregnancy spa sounds nice-like massages!? Not that I could get one due to being on bed rest and I'm afraid to move or be touched but ahh nice! Congrats & Good luck!
  4. 26-32 weeks is the recommended time frame, although I had one at 31 weeks with my daughter, and she didn't cooperate too well because of the lack of space available. Her pictures didn't turn out the best, mostly of her body and only one or two of her face. This time, with our son, we went at 28 weeks, and it was perfect. He moved around a lot, lots of pictures of his face and his body, and a 30-minute DVD to boot. A word of advice though, for clearer pictures, drink 2 litres of water per day for 2 weeks prior to the examination. 3D ultrasounds use the level of amniotic fluid, rather than a full bladder, and drinking the 2 litres for 2 weeks increases the level, thus creating better pictures.
