- plz use buy than using build a computer
- Check out my favorite guide: http://arstechnica.com/guides/buyer/guide-200706.ars/3 You could just ignore the processor and motherboard portion.
- That's a pretty good CPU and MoBo combo, the 6000+ is about the best AMD have and value-wise better than anything Intel do! And ASUS always make sound MoBos! For gaming You'll need quite a bit of RAM (I'd go for 2gb MINIMUM!) That MoBo supports DDR2 ram so make sure you get that, good brands to go for are Corsair and Kingston. Go for either 1gb or 2gb sticks in 'matched pairs' of ram and take advantage of 'dual channel' memory configurations (which this MoBo supports) You'll need a really good graphics card for gaming the NVIDIA 8800 series are the best out there, probably the best balance of price and performance will be an 8800 GTS (XFX or Gainward are excellent companies) or go for the 8800GTX Ultra if you've got loads of cash! You'll need a decent PSU (Power Supply Unit) to run a gaming rig, i'd advise going for a higher power rating than you need so you'll have room to upgrade (SLI?!!) about 700w output will easily give you the option to add an extra card in SLI mode if you want to. Storage, you'll need an HDD to run your system too, a decent 500Gb SATA II HDD from Samsung or Seagate should do you nicely and only costs about £70 ($140), think about buying two identical HDDs and running them in a RAID 0 configuration as this speeds up the data transfer rate. For sourcing your components I'd suggest a price comparrison site like (www.pricegrabber.co.uk) Hope all this helps, and good luck with your project. Happy Gaming! ~®
- Building a PC is always a fun project. I still remember when i built my first. If your using on board video card, sound card, and nic then all you need is the following things. - Case (get something you really like it's what people will see first and you can alway upgrade the internal stuff) - Hard Drive (For your motherboard you'll need SATA interfaced ones) - Memory (The more you the faster things will run, get as much as yuou can afford) - Operating System ( You go crazy if you want, just don't run something like Windows 98 lol)
