How do you make a 3D plant cell without using food?
I am supposed to make a 3D plant cell for a school project but I can't use food since it molds or gets stinky. I have to have the nucleus, chloroplast, Mitochondria, ribosomes, golgi complex, all that stuff. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

- Clay!
- OMG I DID THIS PROJECT I used a bid styrafoam ball from a craft store and used clay to make things like the nucleus and the chloroplasts, and I used curled ribbon for the chromosomes, I think, and bubble wrap for the nucleuses outer wall and I used stickers to number and label all the parts.
- I did that in 6th grade! Just get some styrofoam (they have it in green too), and for the cell parts you can use beads, or string.. just look through the ailes of a crafts store, and you'll find stuff! Good luck! :D
- It's funny, I have to make a 3D cell for a school project, too. I'm thinking of making a cell wall out of cardboard or wood or something since plant cells have straightish sides. Then I was going to use clay for the organelles and paint them different colors so people can tell the difference between them.
- you can use styrafoam, clay, balloons (lol), paper mache (sp?), plaster, and so much more. hope i helped!
- I did it in 8th grade and I used play dough. Although I used green Jello for the cytoplasm. My cell wall was a rectangle cake pan. I used saran wrap for my cell membrane. If I remember correctly I got a really good grade on it plus I had fun making it.
