Do regular theaters show 3D movies or do I HAVE to go see them in IMAX?

With so many 3D movies coming out, it seems like regular theaters should be showing them. The imax theater closest to me is about 2 hours away.

1. Only a handful of regular cinemas show films in 3-D, so chances are you are going to have to see the film in IMAX.
2. I think IMAX. However, Shrek can be bought on dvd with 3D glasses. In the special features there is a 3D film you can watch !!!
3. Yes regular theaters are showing 3d, two theaters can show them in my city (we don't have an Imax theater). However, they have to be shown on a digital projector instead of a reel to reel projector. The problem is they are reather expensive and 3d movies have just started coming out, so up until now it has only been 2d. Any listings that have 3d after the title is in 3d, that is how they distinguish between the 3d and 2d showings. No 3d after the title, it is in 2d.
