Has anyone out there had a 4D Ultrasound?

I just saw a commerical for the 4d ultrasound the other day and I was wondering if they were really as realistic as they say and I know they are in the high hundreds to have them so I was wondering if they were worth the money or if the regular ultrasound would be just as good.

  1. i had this done for my first son. it is sooo amazing!! you could see exactly what he was going to look like. It is quite pricey but worth every penny. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and can't wait to have another scan! Good luck
  2. they are very realistic. i had one done with my first son at about 33 weeks and he came out at 40 weeks looking pritty much just as he did in the ultrasound. i go one done with this pregnancy too at 32 weeks and this baby is going to be chunky. you must drink lots of water (like 100oz a day, for 2-3 days prior) to get the best picture of your baby) this is due to more amniotic fluids available.
  3. it is soooo worth having it done its unbelievable you can see everything and my baby came out looking exactly like he did on the ultrasound it is worth the money you pay for it the best time to do it is at 26-32 weeks as before then baby will be too little and after then baby will be too big.
  4. Worth the xtra money! I had one done at 18 weeks and it was awesome. I am going back farther along to get better pics when the baby is bigger. The [pics in the flyer I had where I went the quality was exactly as it shown. I paid 150 for mine and got 20 min video, like 20 pics. the u/s was in 2d and 3d/4d, but the 4d is is WAY better than the 2d photos.
