What is the best 3d CAD Software for making expansive outdoor environments?

I would prefer it to be on the easier to learn side. When I say expansive, I mean I want to make forrests, mountains, streams, etc in a large environment.

1. I'm not sure you'll want to use a CAD program for such an undertaking. CAD is more for technical drawings. Sounds like you're trying to make a gaming environment. You might want to look into something like Maya or 3D Studio. A CAD program can definitely do it, but it's not really suited for it. Unfortunately, there is a learning curve for all these programs and they're very expensive. However, I believe Linux may have some 3D Graphics programs that are free to use. Mind you, they won"t be as robust as the more expensive ones, but they may take care of your needs.
