How do I fake a 3D model from a 2d image in Photoshop or Illustrator?

I have a 2d photo of a person that I want to make like a 3D polygon 3d image. However, I do not have a 3d software application to do this with? Is there a way I can fake a 3d model of a 2d image of a person in Photoshop or Illustrator?

1. You can't make something that's actually 3D in Phoshop. You can still draw a picture that looks as if it's three dimensional using the traditional drawing tricks like perspective and curves. But if you want a model that's actually 3D you do need a program like Maya etc.
