Make a portal gun in blender 3D?

Does anyone know of any tutorials that they could link to that will show me how to make a portal gun similar to that of Arpeture Science portal gun. I don't want to just make a model of it, I want it to actually fire out portals and an object being able to go in one and out the other. This might be hard. No spam please.
