Was your babies gender wrong at ultra sound?

I just had my 20 week ultra sound yesterday. I have to wait until my doctors appointment too find out how the baby is doing, however by my film i was given The spine and everything looks good (altho im no doctor lol)! But she didnt tell me length or weight, or anything about the amniotic fluid. Was just curious, quick- Will the radiologist write this down in there report that later is given to my doctor in a few days(my doctor doenst do the ultra sounds, doesnt have the machine at her office). And we were told she is pretty sure its a boy. I saw between the legs and it definetly looked like there was a penis there.... However In one of the other angles the umbilical cord was directly in front of him/her and down the centre of him/her. Could that have been what we seen. Or do you think she is right? She didn't give a percentage. The baby wouldn't keep his/her legs open It mostly layed on its side or flat on his/her back :) It didnt want to let her get some measurements either she said because it was being active lol. (I have a 3d ultra sound for march) I believe Its in 3 weeks from now) And I figure that would probably give me a better idea. However I have felt somehow it is a boy. I really was hoping for a little girl. And I don't really Want more then one baby, This one was unplanned. However I just want it too be healthy and will love it anyways. I was just curious since this is my first ultra sound that I could see a baby(only other ones were at 4-7 weeks) for medical reasons.And unless i go to my 3d ultra sound I was told more then likely unless my doctor wants to get measurements at 7-9months Then I wont get too see another one :( kind of sucks Id say but I know you all know what I mean :) Thank you everyone!!! The view she got well the only one she let me see (she said she got a pretty good view earlier) however it moved from back to side a lot). The view we saw when she showed us between the legs was zoomed out and when he/she was on its side its legs were crossed the whole time, however it slightly opened them and thats what it looked to be blunt like a little penis stickin up towards its belly button would be) but then he/she quickly kept its legs closed again!

1. i personally havent had a baby, but my partners work mate recently had a babyy, and his wife was told it waas defo a girl all teh way until she gave birth when it turned out to be a boy
2. No. All of that bullshit for a two letter answer.
3. You could wait until the baby is a little bigger and get another ultrasound. Although it does sound like a boy. Right away knew I was having boys in both my pregnancies.
4. its always realy hard to tell when the baby is super active. ive never been pregnant but when my mom was pregnant with me, the doctors were positive that i was a boy. they were very wrong. it is always hard to tell. usually doctors are right about the gender, but there is a possibility they could be wrong since your baby moves around so much.
5. Wait before you buy anything. When you are further along ask for another ultrasound. If it is indeed a boy you will have your confirmation then. I just had a baby boy 10 months ago-I was told at both 2 ultrasound appointments that I was indeed having a girl. I had an amazing purple and ivory the nursery pink and purple and then gave birth to a huge 8 pound 7 ounce boy. It was surely the surprise of our lives.
