  1. Sounds quite good but its up to you just make sure you get either Windows xp or vista hope this helps
  2. depends on your needs, ok for casual gaming, not very light and powerful for desktop apps, plenty of hd space, should be good for storing vids You could without a hitch run vista ultimate
  3. Wow that's a pretty good processor i would buy it although i guess its a windows machine i prefer mac i have a macbook
  4. Yeah, pretty good for normal users. You didn't mention the price.
  5. That's a good spec - but make sure you get a good version of Windows. I'm using a Hi-Grade myself, with Vista Basic
  6. seems good enough
  7. It all depends on price..! And brand! You left the most important information out!!! I wouldn't personally buy a laptop with the AMD dual core processors as Intel's Core 2 Duos far outperform them in every way. It should be fine if you are using it for word processing, internet and watching movies and not wanting to play the most up-to-date games. Also the hard drive is obviously sufficient for storing a lot of music, pictures and movies. I would buy a good name brand - Toshiba's are good for what you get for your money, and HP/Compaq if you're willing to spend a little more. I'd stay away from Advent, Acer, Emachines etc. If you're in the uk then you can pick up refurbished laptops from places like Curry's/PC world (same clearance stock), Comet, or Dell at a fraction of the price. That's what I have always done and have never been disappointed. http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1236537932.1224947321@@@@&BV_EngineID=cceiadefhmdddehcflgceggdhhmdgmj.0&page=ProductList&category_oid=-27411&fm=1&sm=0&tm=4&show_all=true#(any):(any):150:975:PageNo_1:SortOrder_DOWN http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/default.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dfh&~ck=betafrbsd
