can people wear their 3d glasses over regular vision glasses to watch a 3d movie in theaters?

im gonna go watch a 3d movie soon and i wanna know if i can put the glasses over my everyday glasses. i have astigmatism and i can see pretty well but since ive been using my glasses more, my head starts hurting if im watching tv or focusing on something.
