1. Not sure which it would be but for gaming you would want higher fps which you don't require for CAD - with CAD you need accuracy.
2. nvidia sells cards specifically for cad called quadro. they're worth a pretty penny though. http://www.nvidia.com/object/builtforprofessionals.html
