When a company asks if I have a drawing of something do they mean a 3D image drawn up in a CAD program?

Would they probably want the CAD file or some kind of strange printout.

1. It doesn't have to be a CAD drawing. We see a lot of PDF files now. It just has to have the dimensions for everything and a parts listing, if needed.
