What is the best way to study Auto Cad & 3D Max?

Should I go to school or buy a book and study myself? Please Give me a advice.. Thank you..

1. The best thing to do is use the help and topic index in the programs, use any tutorials in the programs, and play around with it yourself. Hands on is the best approach.
2. You're in luck! At least, regarding 3dsMax: http://www.3dbuzz.com/ Register for free, and you can download a complete video tutorial course on 3ds Max. It starts at the beginning and takes you through most of the whole thing (including character rigging). They also have lots of other software covered. Good luck & CHeers!
