3D - 2

What is a good 3D animation program?

Something for beginners, not to expensive, but good enough to do decent 3D movies.

  1. Blender is free. It takes a little getting used to, but it's really really good once you get to know it.

  3. Blender is great and FREE. Steep learning curve. You can also download trial and/or PLDs (Personal Learning Edition) of Maya, 3ds Max, SoftImage XSI, and Cinema 4d which are the most popular 3d programs currently. Autodesk owns 3 out of 4 of those but if you want to be in the industry you'll want to learn at least one of those. If you're a student you can get them for fairly cheap.
  4. Blender is free. If you want a link and some tutorial links to help you get started check out our site. You can also free trails of some of the Hollywood softwares like 3DSMax & Maya... depends how hard you want to work to learn! http://www.whichdimension.com
