3D - 2

What Computer Program Would I Use for 3-D Animation?

I'm looking for a animation program that makes 3d animations for example like an animation movie like The Bug's Life or Finding Nemo. All i want is an answer like "Adobe Flash Pro" thats all thanks. I am looking for a FREE downloadable program not that hard of a program so i can learn those basics and then move on to the professional ones

  1. 3ds Max
  2. It depends on your skill. Check out. http://www.your3dsource.com/which-animation-software-to-use.html
  3. Maya 3D Studio Max Cinema 4D It depends on your skill level what you choose; 3D Studio Max is the choice of pro's but it's an extremely steep learning curve (I've tried).
  4. cinema 4d is the easiest to learn the basics of animation in 3d
  5. 1. Blender. It's free. It has a strong community, and there is a lot of training literature and videos. It even has a new "For Dummies" book (if you like that series). However, it's just as difficult to learn as any commercial product -- but on the positive side, you can create something that would rival any done with software you'd pay for. 2. Daz3d Free and simple. Of course, because it's simple, you loose a lot of power. It also doesn't quite have all the functionality that you'd expect from a more difficult program (but that's why the others are hard, right?) You don't even need to design your characters -- you can buy all your content from the site. 3. Creatoon Free and relatively simple. It's not quite 3d. It's cut-out animation style (like southpark), but it uses skeletons and animation is keyframed, just like all the 3d programs. It is a good way to create animations, using similar techniques, without all the extras complications that a 3d package brings.
