3D - 2

What is the word for the amount of space enclosed by a 4D locus?

The space enclosed by a 1D locus is the length, 2D - area, 3D - volume. Is there a word for the 4D equivalent, or the ND equivalent? Or would you just say "4D volume" or something?

  1. Almost everybody calls it "hypervolume." But technically, it should probably be "tetravolume." But nobody says that. "Hyper" is the higher-than-3-dimensions signifier. And mostly, people talk about 4 dimensions. So 4-dimensional "space" is usually called "hyperspace." A 4-dimensional "cube" is a "hypercube." And so on.
