what is a good free 3D CAD program?

i am trying to model cars. i got some pictures of them

1. 3d cad software takes a long time to master, but there are terrific career prospects for experts. Cad programs do not draw for you, you still have to be able to draw and the better you are, the better the program will be. I don't have time to gather up url's, but google searches will help you find these: Google Sketchup - very powerful, very free, very 3d, but not exactly CAD. Great program though with plenty of tutorials. GMax A free version of 3d Studio Max which costs around $6,000. GMax only exports files to certain games though. It will do what you want and the more you use this program the better your chances of getting a job in 3d design. Art of Illusion (Needs Java) a nice program Blender - Never used it. Wings 3D This one works like clay modelling. You start with a block and carve it until you get your shape. Very powerful. I suggest you evaluate them all by reading tutorials and viewing on-line videos.
