I need help about software?

I have been researching some software for creating comics and animated movies. So far I have found some I really like, but most are really expensive. Below is a list of the few I have found. My question is what one should I start out with and where can I get it? I would also like to know the quality of the software and such. I would also like the software to be either for Windows or Mac. 1. it totally depends on what you would like to do. Poser is for 3D character animation (character only.) Blender is a good 3D package and it`s free. so you should try blender before you go deep into 3D anmation and use Maya etc. Toon Boom is good for 2D cartoon. After Effects is always good for moving cutouts etc.
