Hitatchi 46 inch Tv looks 3D?

I bought this TV from a guy used and was told he couldn't get a picture on it, just sound. When I plugged it in and hooked up my reciever box to it, it had a picture but it looks 3D..yellow, red and blue shadows. The TV has a magic focus button on it but doesn't seem to fix the problem at all when pushed..is this a cheap fix or something major

1. I have a 50-inch Hitachi that is 10 years old and I had those problems 2 times over the past 10 years, what it is is the covergence is out of whack and needs readjustment by a technician. The repair cost me around $200. each time. I just learned that projection tvs have twice the number of parts to make them work than other types of tvs. Mine just died last night and it sounded like a "pop". I am not repairing it again, time for new one.
2. Your convergence ic's are out, and our magic focus will not help. In Milwaukee, Wi, the repair would cost about $385, including some capacitors that tend to leak.
