  1. As long as you can export any of the following formats, you can use any editor you want and import them. 3DS, X, OBJ, ASE, MAP, MDL, MD2
  2. And do not forget that Blender has a built-in game engine as well - making games in Blender is very much an option now. Have a look at the "Yo Frankie!" game. A major advantage of Blender's game engine is that you do not have to import/export models or animations. You can do it all in one environment. http://www.yofrankie.org/ The source files of this game can be downloaded, examined and re-used. Python is arguably easier to develop in than A6 Game engine's lite-C language. Simple games can be created without any scripting. And... with Blender you are able to deploy your game to Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. The 2.49 game engine speed is already getting great improvements in speed too, and video texures will be possible as well. The first gamekit (still very informative) can be downloaded for free here: http://www.yofrankie.org/blender-gamekit-2nd-edition/ The second version: http://www.blender3d.org/e-shop/product_info.php?products_id=112 Sorry for being enthusiastic about Blender's game engine - I do use DX studio and Quest 3d too, and Blender does offer a viable real-time engine now.
