Is it alright to have an SLR next to unshielded stereo speakers?

I always set my Nikon D80 (SLR camera) down next to my speakers (AKA: stereo monitors). Is this a bad idea? My speakers do not have a magnetic shield. When they are next to my TV, the colors turn a bit green or purple (due to magnetic interference). Should I be concerned about something going wrong with my SLR due to it's proximity to the speakers? Thanks in advance for your info! this is a DSLR

  1. normally, or around 99% of the time nothing happens cause the devices are made to deal with this kind of stuff, but you should always take caution and be careful, under some circumstances it could wipe out your memory, your cameras firmware and cause malfunction. so its better to be safe than sorry. just dont put it there.
