How can I make 3d models on Truss Structures given in maths project class 9?

I have been given project to make 3d models on trauss models in Delhi or outside. 1) How to make it? 2) from what materials should i make it? 3) Can you tell the easiest way to make it 4) Can i make it from Thermocol if yes can you give me some tips? Thank you
