What is the job availability like after taking a college course on 3D Studio Max?

I am thinking of taking a college course on 3D studio max. What i would like to know is if there are oppertunities out there for me to take after completing this course and how available the jobs are.

1. one course (3 credits) does not qualify you for a job. 3DSMax is a highly complex application, and there are many nuances to it. Without a background in design, color theory, art history etc, you are just another computer jock, making $10 and hour. If it is a CERTIFICATE program (30 credits etc), then you MIGHT be able to get some entry level work.
