When is a good time to go for the 3D/4D ultrasound? How many weeks should you be?

Also using it for a sex confirmation! Thank you

1. I had mine done at 28 weeks, they usually will say when you're in you're 3rd trimester, that is the time to go
2. The technician told me the best time to get it is after 26 weeks...that's when they're more active but still small enough to move around. I got mine done at 28 weeks and loved the outcome. She was smiling and waving her arms. I was crying like a little girl the whole time.
3. most women ive heard that got them dont go until theyre later in their pregnancy but if you want to go for sex confirmation, if your normal technician hasnt given you an answer yet, you can probably go after the 20 week mark (thats when you can get a regular scan to determine the sex) and the baby still has enough room to move around for them to see. good luck and congrats!
