I am having trouble running Duke Nukem 3D with my current sound card. How can I get it to work?

I have installed my old Duke Nukem 3D game to play for nostalgia. However, I am unable to get it to work with my current sound card because it's too modern. I used to play it with an ordinary 16-bit one. Any information that will help me run the game would be greatly appreciated.

1. There´s a config file in Duke Nukem directory. You have to access from DOS or in a DOS window. Choose the card type. Enter the sound preferences and change the DMA and IRQ addresses. You have to config both FX and music sound. Try different arrengements till´it works. There´s also a help file where you can find information about sound cards config.
