how can you get a 3d ultrasound when your pregnant?

well the thing is i would like to do a 3d ultrasound... now do i have to pay for a 3d ultrasound myself? or do the insurance company's cover that?

1. Here in the UK the cheapest is about £100 for a 3D ultrasound - yes you do have to pay. xxx
2. You have to pay for a 3D ultra sound yourself. It is worth it though we did it for our daughter and it was amazing to see.
3. Insurance companies do not pay for one as they are not medically necessary. However, prices range from $150-200, so they are pretty affordable. Maybe see if your parents will pay for it as part of a baby gift?
4. The insurance company will only pay for it if the doctors see something abnormal or you get abnormal test results. In other words, only if medically necessary. It would be cool to see a 3d ultrasound though.
