What is a good, free program to make 3D graphics/models/animations for COMPLETE beginners?
Hello, I'm looking fro a free program that will help me design things (characters, buildings, etc.) three-dimensionally. It has to be free. I'm running Windows 32-Bit XP, and I have plenty of RAM and harddisk space. I tried Blender, but didn't really like it; for some reason, I needed to download Python, and then it said I didn't anyway. But anyhow...I would appreciate it if someone could direct me to a download for a program like this. Thanks. Also, I'd appreciate a link for tutorials. I think I *might* need them : ) Possibly. Of course, I'm going to jump right in as soon as I start the program, and know exactly how to do EVERYTHING! Duh... (HAHAHAHA! Trust me, I KNOW that isn't how things work, I was joking, so please don't lecture me.) Thank you all very much!

- There is a program called blender. Just google it. To be honest, it's not easy at all but there are tons of tutorials that explain everything step by step. Once you get the hang of it, you will love it.
- This is a report on Blender Blender is the in-house software of a high quality animation studio. It has proven to be an extremely fast and versatile design instrument. The software has a personal touch, offering a unique approach to the world of three dimensions. Blender can be used to create TV commercials, to make technical visualizations or business graphics, to do some morphing, or to design user interfaces. Developers can easily build and manage complex environments. The renderer is versatile and extremely fast. All basic animation principles (curves and keys) are implemented.
- Google Sketchup. Great little program for modeling and animating. Very user-friendly. http://sketchup.google.com/ Here is a rundown of several other free programs: http://www.software4free.org/3d.html If you can use Yahoo Answers, you can search the Internet. But Blender is the best as far as complete packages go. It's very well documented and has a large support community and tutorials. Give it another try. Good luck!
