How do you clean a rollup slideprojector screen?

I bought a vintage stereo camera with stereo slides and projector plus its crystal like touch roll-up textile (plastic?) screen, but the screen by time or other reason became slightly yellowish. How could it be cleaned without damage?

1. If it has gone yellowish, it is past recovery. Most likely it was exposed for too long a period to direct sunlight. You could try washing with warm water and a soft cloth, but that will only remove dirt. I don't know of any solutions that will remove the yellow.
