when should i have the 3d ultra sound done.?

im only 10 weeks but i have brought a baby book to fill with my pics of bub for the time to come and planing to start it at the 12 weeks mark im hoping to have each ultrasound i have to be in normal 2d then another one at the same time to be 3d... but it will also cost me 200 bucks everytime i get 3d... so wats the best weeks to get the 3d scans done.. i have choosen week 14 week 20 and week 36.. is this good...

1. Wait till you can tell if its a boy or a girl.
2. It's better if you get it done later on in your pregnancy. The 36 week one would be the best. All of the baby's features are almost all the way developed and it would be the most clear.
3. after 20 weeks is much better. I wouldn't spend any money on a 14 weeks scan. Call a 3d clinic and ask them when the best time would be.
4. usually 3d/4d places do packages for multiple sessions. i wouldn't waste the money on a 14 or 20 week ultrasound because they don't have any fat on them really so they will still be pretty small and thin. if you wait until 27-34 week range you will get great results because they have put on some fat and makes the ultrasound worth the money.
