How do I produce a 3D CAD model using a digital camera?

Is it possible to create a 3D computer aided design model of human head or auto part using a digital camera? Please advice. Are websites that would provide the procedure on how to do it? I couldn't find on on Google.

1. You cannot use a digital camera to create a 3D CAD model. There are ways using scanning lasers, and even sonar, but these techniques work by measuring distances not by capturing light. The problem with capturing light is perspective and detail. It might be possible with stereoscopic imaging or holographic Imaging (back to scanning lasers again).
