Best and Easiest way to build a 3d building?

I am doing a movie project for a video class that i am taking next year. And I want to build a 3d model of the library on campus so I can do a flyover of it, or do some other things to it i can not normally do. I am new to this, so simple (as simple as possible) is good! :)
