3D - 2

Is the Mac Mini good for 3d modeling?

Will 2.26GHz with 2 Gigs of ram be able to handle blender or other 3d modeling programs?

  1. Probably will be *able* to run 3D modelling programs, but depending on which one you want to run, they probably won't run so well. I would recomend either getting (or preferably building) a Windows based PC so you can get it at the same price as the MM, but be able to drop in a graphics card so you 3D programs will run better (Processor and RAM are only half the deal for and 3D programs). Of course if your dead set on a Mac, or you need a Mac because of where your employed or anything like that, fork out the $300 (ish?) for a 20" iMac which comes with a small, but competent graphics card to handle all your 3D needs. Good luck!
