What are all the options when you have an Interior Design Diploma with 5 years experience?

I have been working as an interior designer for 5 years at a couple architect firms. I have not been very satisfied in the profession. It has become evident that it is not all it's cracked up to be. I want to know what my other options are having this as my background. I don't want to have to go back to school for something else, but I don't know what my options are. I love doing renderings and the creative parts and being behind the scene. I do not like the technical part with all the drafting and client meetings. And the pay is not as great as i thought it would be for all this hard work. I am confused and would love some direction!!
