Any Doctors...is incense harmful to inhale?

I dont mean directly, but I bought some today, it claims to be of the finest ingredients. I just want to know if there is any harm in breathing in the scent to meditate. It is called MONEY HOUSE BLESSING Incense INDIAN SPIRIT, there are four different kinds in it which are their renderings of obsession, giorgio, drakkar noir, and eternity. It says made in Thailand by E Davis International

  1. If the inscence is made from essential oils then it should be fine. Synthetic perfumes are also being used nowadays and these may irritate some senitive noses. Often the paste used is also not pure and the burning can release toxic smalls and irritate many people.
  2. No. It's what they are made for to smell indirectly. But they can be harmful if they are in Aerosol cans. harmful or even deadly. But Incense like those. Im like 99% sure they aren't unless you purposely inhale them all day everyday...
  3. Anything inhaled into your lungs that has the possibility to clog up the tiny passages in your lungs is bad for you. Your lungs need oxygen and that's what it needs and nothing else. When you introduce anything other then what it can break down then whats left in your lungs is a slow build up of something potentially harmful. So I suggest anytime you see some product that people say helps you out or relaxes you, makes you feel good, then take a different look at it. "Is this what my body needs to function and survive". If its not required then don't use it.
  4. Moderation is the key word. If you are using it for meditation, not medication, it's fine.
  5. Those are not good quality incense. They make aerosol sprays too, which are just as unhealthy for you to inhale. You should get a refund on those products as soon as possible or simply throw the incense away. If you are going to use incense, use the Fred Soll Resin on a Stick or imported Indian incense like Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa. If smoke is really a concern for you, use essential oils in an oil burner. Just add a few drops of oil to some water in the tiny bowl, light the tea candle, and enjoy the scents. Incense smoke in moderation is ok. Make sure you drink plenty of water after your meditation session to help flush your blood. Do deep breathing exercises to help your oxygenated blood do it's job too. Peace & Blessings on your journeys!
