graphics issues with brand new dell inspiron 1501?

I just got a new dell laptop and when playing a simple game of online pool the grapics are very choppy. Every time a ball strikes another ball on the pool table the graphics stall for a split second. It's very annoying. I've tried playing around with the different 3D graphics settings, but nothing seems to help. Does anyone happen to know what might be causing this? Is there a setting i can change so that the graphics will be smooth? Thanks!

1. Sounds like you need to update it . Yes its new but look at the year it came out also maybe with the games your playing you need a good video card. go to www.tigerdirect.com they are VERY cheap they lower prices from the manufacturer

3. on the face of it, it would seem that you are running short of resources ram is about the only option for upgrade more details about hardware, operating system & system requirements of game would help narrow down issue
