3D - 2

How close did your 3d ultrasound pics look to your babies newborn pics?

And what week did you do the 3d ultrasound. Because I did mine at 30 weeks and now am almost 39 weeks and Curious how close she will look to that!

  1. he looked like his daddy in the ultrasound and he looked like his daddy when he was born ( i was 26 weeks along)
  2. I was 26.5 weeks along and i couldnt believe how much the picture and my son (at birth) looked!!!!!
  3. I think it is really variable with how the baby is positioned and what age they are done at. My cousin had one done at about 32 weeks and hers looked NOTHING like her little girl when she was born. I could see no resemblance at all. Thankfully her daughter was beautiful...the ultrasound was not terribly becoming (shh...don't tell her I said so). My mom had a 3D done with my youngest brother at 35 weeks and it looked exactly like him! It was shot from the top of the uterus, looking down on his nose, mouth, and eyes. There is a picture on the day he is born kinda shot at the same angle and it is the exact same. I found it to be really cool. I have never had a 3D one done, so I can't really say for my kids. I usually go off of the growth sonograms (since they are covered by my insurance and the 3D ones are about 100 bucks here). My daughter looked like her sonograms, my son did not. It will be interesting to see what my son this time does. We are almost at 30 weeks and I have a growth sonogram next week. I am excited to see his face again.
  4. looked like a small danny devito??
  5. The night I went into labor, I had been at the hospital hours earlier for bleeding (didnt know Id be going into labor later that night lol). Anyhow, they had me get an ultrasound and the tech printed me out a pic of her face, she had super chubby cheeks in the pic and big lips lol, when she came out, she looked just like the pics hehe, chubby cheeks and full lips like her mommy.
  6. I chose not to get the 3D Ultrasound. I had to have A LOT of sonograms during my pregnancy and even if it is hogwash...I did not want to expose my baby to anymore of those penetrating rays unless it was medically necessary. Plus, I kind of liked the idea of at least being surprised about ONE thing. My friend had hers at 30 weeks as well and even though there is still a lot of developing left to do...she looked almost exactly like the 3D image.
