30 week 4d Ultrasound next tuesday, what can i do to get my baby on her back?

Hi, Im having my 4d U/S next tuesday and would like to no is their is any way to get a higher chance of my baby being on her back so we can get a good view of her face. Could sleeping in a certain position for a while, or doing certain exercises turn her onto her back. I know nothing will be certain to work, but I would like to at-least try. Any information would be great, thanks!

  1. your baby should be face up no matter what- its getting her to wake up thats the hard part! i ate a pb&j sandwich, drank a cherry pepsi and even ate chocolate and she still slept through the whole thing!!! i went twice, the other time i had just drank a bottle of orange juice. eat whatever wakes your baby- like spicy food or sugar at least a half hour before so its in her system. good luck!!! 30 weeks, her face may be up against your placenta.. i would recommend doing it about 3 weeks sooner next time :)
  2. It would not be a very good idea at all to try and turn your baby on her back otherwise you may end up with a posterior positioned baby which ISN'T ideal for birth and will often lead into interventions for many reasons. You don't need to do anything to get a good look at your baby for the 4d ultrasound they already have a good view most likely if they aren't getting a good view it won't be because of her position it will be where bub is facing.
  3. Ooo girl, when I had mine done there was nothing we could do to get a good pic of the baby. He just wouldn't move his hands off of his face and then when they finally got him to take his hands away his umbilical cord was laying on top of his face but we did get to see him stick out his tongue and lick the cord.=) just hope ur baby wants to be good for mommy that day. Good luck.
