When did you have your 3d or 4d ultrasound done and were you happy?

Would you get it done earlier next time or later, if you have any pictures please include and let me know how many weeks you were? We really want to get one done just dont know when. Thanks girls.

1. I read its best to do it between 27-32 weeks. Thats when I am going to do it.
2. I had mine (3d) at 18 weeks and of course I was ecstatic! Anytiem you get to see your baby during pregnancy it's great! Good luck! :)
3. I have yet to have mine and I'm 27 weeks. I'm a bit peeved because it was my understating that this is done at the 20 week full anatomy scan. I'm going to my doctor tomorrow and I'm going to ask about this. Thanks for reminding me!! Good luck!!
4. I have been told to do it between 27 and 31 weeks, so the baby is not too big to get a good picture. My cousin had it done at 35 weeks and her baby's face was not able to be seen...cause she was too low in the pelvis. I would go earlier. I had scheduled one for the first week of September (I would be 31 weeks), but they are actually doing another medical one for growth charting (I am measuring pretty large), so I don't want to spend the money on the expensive other one. I have not had it done with my other two babies. I know they are cool if the tech can get a good shot. But timing is important, I would shoot for 29 weeks or so.
5. I wasn't planning on getting a 4d ultrasound done, but my OB and the perinatalogist that we say both did 4d. The first one was at 21 weeks (he looked like a little old man since he didn't have fat on him) and the second one was done around 32 weeks which then he had some fat in his face. They recommend after 26 weeks I think because then the baby will have more weight to him/her so you can really tell what they will look like.
6. i had one at 9 weeks and he looked like a shrimp. i had one atr 20 weeks and his mouth looked alittle distorted. i had one at 24 weeks and it was so amazing. you could see all the details on his face and ears and nose and everything. i was so pleased with the one at 24 weeks the most even though 20 weeks was pretty cool too. i heard not to do it after 30 weeks.

8. Hi i had mine done on Saturday i was 24+3! It was the best experiance iv every had & the best thing i have ever seen! I asked the woman who did the scan have i come at the right time & she said yeah anything from23weeks as thats when baby is fully formed! She said some times if you wait 2 have it done later on in pregnancy t hen the baby can be to big & you might not see as much as in earlier scanning! Hope this helps! x x
