Is it possible to convert google sketchup files into 3d's max 8? or 3d's max 8 format?

I want convert the google sketchup to 3d max model , so I can edit them in 3d max platform and use them .

1. Try 3D Paintbrush. It directly reads the sketchup file and convert it to any format. Including 3Ds. http://www.3dpaintbrush.com/ You can only have it as trial though, but the actual price of 99$ is also reasonable.
