Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in Imax 3D?

I want to go see the new Harry Potter movie in Imax 3D. But is it worth it? Is the whole movie in 3D or are just some certain parts? I don't want to waste money going to the Imax 3D if it won't be worth my money. Oh and are the tickets expensive for the Imax 3D??

  1. Its not worth it.
  2. The price depends where you go. Like museums can only be $12 for adults. I would check the Imax theatre you are going to. It might be the same price as the regular...maybe. It depends if you go in the afternoon or night. I don't know how much the movie will be in 3D but I bet most of the magic will be. In my opinion with the suspense of the movie it would be fun in 3D. For how big this movie is to get in 3D, they would have to make a lot of it in 3D. I hoped this helped. I don't know much on Harry Potter, except watching the movies, I just can't predict the 3D movie the best.
  3. I actually wouldn't recommend it. Sorry but last time I went for prisoner of Askaban my neck was killing me because I was just trying to look all over at that huge screen. In the middle of the show I just had to leave for a few minutes because I was getting a horrible headache. Go to a normal theatre Im really glad I did for Goblet of Fire. Plus you have to pay way more for IMAX so save your money for snacks at the norm theatre. Treat yourself with some yummmy sour patches :) And enjoy!!!
  4. I don't knoe about others but I am paying for it.
  5. The whole movie will not be in 3D. The 12-minute opening sequence has been converted to 3D. I'm not sure how much of the rest of the film will be in 3D. Last September, news articles announced that there would be 25 minutes total but I haven't found any recent updates regarding the total 3d time. 3D tickets are usually priced higher than non-3d IMAX to cover the cost of converting 2D footage to 3D but you should check your theater as tickets costs tend to vary from one location to another.
