  1. The 3D glasses that come with Coraline DVD and Blu-Ray are of the Red/Green variety of 3D which does work, sorta. It's not nearly as good or clear as the kind of 3D you'll see in the movie theater, so it'll take a good five minutes at most for your eyes to adjust to it. The effect is a little shallow 3D, but it is there. I would say that for right now, since Coraline automatically comes with the glasses and both the 3D version and regular version of the movie, you should go ahead and get it. You can use the Red/Green 3D glasses with other movies that have the same kind of 3D.
  2. hey i bought the coraline special edition, and the 3d does work, at the points where its supposed to, there is red tint but it's not annoying, it also take 5 minutes for your eyes to get adjusted, also your tv should be newer and plasma or something it goes over it on the dvd, and you could use the glasses for my bloody Valentine 3d! which i have also the standard edition has 2 glasses and Special has 4. So yeah!
